Aston Martin’s DB12 Super Tourer has been unveiled.
It features the latest wide body styling and luxurious interior including AM’s own infotainment system for the first time, a 680ps 4.0V8 twin-turbo petrol engine good for 202mph and 0-60mph in 3.5 second, all-new suspension with adaptive dampers and stability control for the rear wheel drive eight-speed powertrain, and unique Michelin tyres all with a much stiffer monocoque chassis developed from the predecessor DB11.
No prices have been given but expect it to be in the region of £200,000, an increase over the outgoing DB11 from £190,000, and deliveries should start this autumn.
The privileged opportunity to own the very first Aston Martin DB12 customer car was purchased for $1,600,000 (€1.5 Million) in a star-studded charity auction at the amfAR Gala Cannes earlier this week.
The social highlight of the Cannes International Film Festival, the prestigious black-tie gala event at the iconic Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc was attended by celebrated figures from the world of entertainment, the arts and fashion.
The new model was unveiled by Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One Team drivers Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso watched by guests including Academy Award winners Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michael Douglas (above) .
