Close Brothers Motor Finance has bolstered its Showroom proposal platform by giving motor dealers the opportunity to bring the showroom directly to their customer’s home with remote quote and apply.
The enhanced functionality to the Showroom platform will enable dealers to email vehicle quotes directly to the customer following initial discussions around the vehicle and finance options. Customers can access the quotes and the proposed terms can be adjusted, including the duration, deposit, and mileage via a calculator tool.
The feature – available to all dealers who use Showroom – enables customers who wish to apply for finance, to complete an online proposal form from the comfort of their homes, which is sent directly to the dealer, making the process more efficient.
This enhancement is designed to help dealers bring the personal in-showroom car buying experience they offer into the online world at the point when the customer has expressed interest in the vehicle.
The Showroom platform works in tandem with a dealer’s website, which will help their customers to choose the perfect vehicle and the finance option most suited to them. More than 6,000 dealers actively use Showroom and will benefit from the enhanced features.

The innovative multichannel platform is delivered in partnership with financial technology experts Codeweavers and is available to UK based dealers and their customers now.
Citroën UK has unveiled a new online reservation customer journey, to deliver a ‘comfortable’ experience for customers adjusting to the ‘New Normal’.
A range of website-based services are now available – including a new Stock Locator system, offering prospective buyers access to physical stock across the country, and an enhanced online reservations system and the platform allows customers to configure their ideal car in its final specification and to reserve it. Vehicles available via the platform are C1, C3, C3 Aircross SUV, C4 Cactus and C5 Aircross SUV. The chosen car is reserved with payment of a £99 refundable reservation deposit.
