The speaker line-up has been announced for the 3 July Annual General Meeting of the Vehicle Remarketing Association, at BCA Birmingham.
An update on the state of the UK automotive retail sector, examining its resilience and new opportunities arising despite economic challenges, will be presented by Omar Mirza and Kevin Lamb of global automotive consultancy Alvarez and Marsal.
They will then take part in a discussion panel on factors affecting automotive retail also featuring Mike Allen, managing director of Cambria Private Capital and Mike Jones of Fresh Track Holdings.
Oliver Philpott, co-founder of battery health check specialist Generational will then explain how widely available artificial intelligence tools can be used to quickly and easily produce personalised technology for remarketing businesses.
Finally, Chris Plumb, head of current car valuations at cap hpi will provide a detailed update on the current state of the new and used car and van markets.
Philip Nothard, chair at the VRA, said, “We see our AGM as not just a moment to report on the progress of our organisation and deal with procedural matters, but an opportunity to present insightful, thought-provoking information to our members.

“Also, we’ll be working to give members an opportunity to make their voices heard about the direction of the VRA. This is, after all, their organisation and their AGM, and their input is crucial to the organisation’s future success.”
He added that the AGM was an excellent opportunity for people from across the automotive and remarketing sectors to find out more about the VRA.
