The British FIM Speedway Grand Prix returns to Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium in July 2016, and fans who book their tickets by August 31 can save up to 20 percent, with seats starting from just £25.
Speedway fans from all over the world flocked to the Welsh capital on Saturday to witness Niels-Kristian Iversen’s spectacular final triumph ahead of Chris Holder and Peter Kildemand.
Britain’s Tai Woffinden extended his FIM Speedway World Championship lead to 12 points by storming to fourth spot, roared on by a partisan Millennium Stadium crowd.
World speedway’s biggest party may be over for another year. But fans can cure those post-Cardiff blues by planning their 2016 British SGP weekend, with over 1,000 hotel rooms in the city on offer at competitive rates to speedway fans, courtesy of the Cardiff Commitment.
BSI Speedway managing director Paul Bellamy hopes fans will take advantage of the early-bird offers.
He said: “We know fans love to get in early when it comes to British SGP tickets and there are great savings to be made on what is always a spectacular day out.
“There is every chance the British fans could be welcoming Tai Woffinden back as a two-time world champion next season, although the likes of Nicki Pedersen, Greg Hancock and Niels-Kristian Iversen will definitely have something to say about that in the coming months.
“Whatever the rest of this season brings, the 2016 British SGP is set to be another roof-raising night of racing and we can’t wait to welcome the speedway family to Cardiff once again.”
BSI Speedway has worked with the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff Hoteliers’ Association and Cardiff Convention Bureau to secure 1,000 bed spaces for true speedway fans at discounted rates.
The deals are available on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights with no minimum stay requirement.
These rooms are sold on a first come, first served basis and the maximum amount of bedrooms that can be booked in one transaction is three for up to 12 people (including children).
