Blazing a new trail to one of the most important global automotive markets, the INEOS Grenadier 4X4 has launched in China.
The Grenadier’s arrival in China follows the successful introduction of INEOS Automotive in over 40 countries worldwide – including in Mexico last week – and sets a new benchmark for premium 4X4s in the market but French factory production has been halted by a seats’ shortage from its supplier.
Welsh taxpayers want value for money and they aren’t getting that from Labour-run Transport for Wales, according to Welsh Conservatives.
Transport For Wales has been bailed out by the Labour Government to the tune of £125m, lost £300m last year and has the worst customer satisfaction ratings in the UK with more than a million minutes worth of delays over the past year, said Natasha Asghar MS, Welsh Conservative Shadow Transport Minister.
Jaguar Land Rover has announced a further £250 million investment in its plant in Halewood, Merseyside, to ready it for the production of new Range Rover models.
The plant is being transformed to enable the production of new SUVs on the upcoming EMA platform, which supports pure-combustion, hybrid and battery-electric powertrains as the manufacturer hedges its resources to meet varying levels of powertrain demand around the globe, and particularly in its very strong USA market.
UK car production fell by -8.4% in August, according to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, with August conventionally a low output month due to summer shutdowns and the decline was equivalent to just 3,781 fewer units as 41,271 new cars rolled off production lines.
The decline continues the trend seen across the year, as factories wind down production of key models and retool for new – primarily electric – model production, following the £24 billion of UK automotive manufacturing investment announced last year.
