The LDV van brand will return to the UK.
Bought by the Chinese SAIC Maxus group in 2010, the new vans made in China will be marketed by Harris Group and the first to go on sale will be the LDV V80 and they are taking a big stand at the CV show in the NEC in April with four variants of the V80 which uses a VM Motori Italian made 2.5 TD engine.
Daimler has signed an agreement with Khodro Diesel and Mammut Group to re-enter the Iranian market.
The plan includes local production of trucks and powertrains and Daimler will take a share in the Iranian Diesel Engine Manufacturing Co and the operation will begin to be planned from Spring with CKD vehicles being imported by the end of the year for local assembly.
