Motorists are being urged to look out for scams which can cost them dearly, and to alert others to them.
Citizens Advice Bureau is behind Scam Awareness Month in July which seeks to highlight the dangers, both on-line and on the street.
Car sales, crash-for-cash, documentation, accessories, warranties, repairs are just some of the areas where scammers are out to catch the unwary. In essence, don’t be rushed or hushed in negotiations and if you have any doubts don’t give out personal or contact details, particularly of a financial nature.
