By the numbers, they have racked up an impressive 5,520 miles in cars like Gavin’s blue Citroën Saxo or Smithy’s 1996 Volvo 850S Estate – and that’s only what we see on-screen.
For much of the show’s timeline, the Severn Bridge toll served as a literal price to pay for entering Wales. At £5.60 per crossing (pre-December 2018), these journeys came with a small but memorable cost.
Across all the cast’s trips, the combined toll fees added up to £67.20, a small but quirky figure that encapsulates the down-to-earth charm of the show.
