A long standing tradition of raising money for mainly locally based charities has generated over £44k from spectators and drivers at the Castle Combe circuit this year.
The circuit’s charity raising started in earnest in 1989 by the late circuit boss Howard Strawford, from Swansea, who instigated the donation of gate receipts from its car boot sales to charities and causes close to the circuit and included over £2,500 this year to Hope for Tomorrow (above) with Claire Cosgrove of the charity pictured with Maria Fisher, Events Co-ordinator, Castle Combe Circuit.
