STELLANTIS is moving into the scrap business with its newest cars.
The multi-brands company covers 14 marques including Vauxhall, Fiat, Alfa Romeo and PSA and now wants to extend average life of models from 12 to 15 years by making them last longer and then reusing components from scrapped models and putting into remaining cars to improve their ‘green’ credentials and avoid punitive taxes..
South Wales Transport and private hire operator Hyppo Hydrogen solutions are providing transport services in Neath Port Talbot and Swansea using locally produced ‘green hydrogen’ made from renewable energy and local water.
The hydrogen fuelled H2 City Gold electric bus is being provided by Caetano Bus UK with a HyQube refueller being provided by Fuel Cell Systems.
A new visitor attraction has opened at Lisvane and Llanishen Reservoirs north of Cardiff.
Local residents saved the 110 acres site from development in the early years of the century and it’s now owned by Welsh Water and work is underway to create a new centre and community hub.
A new cornerstone model for the company will be the pure electric Volvo EX30 compact crossover, the firm’s forthcoming entry-level model (below).
It is available to order now from £33,795 including three years servicing, deliveries begin early 2024, and Volvo believes it will become a popular second car for many, mostly younger buyers new to the brand.
Cardiff and Bangor are the only places in Wales where a slender majority of drivers have searched for electric cars as their next vehicle.
But they are languishing in 17thand 30thplaces in Britain, way behind parts of Scotland, London and the South, according to raffolux.
