Proven international GT racer Seb Morris will make a welcome return to competitive action at the Nurburgring in Germany, having been drafted in by top team Leipert Motorsport to contest the remainder of the 2021 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe season.
Beginning with the penultimate event of the campaign next weekend, Morris will also race in the Super Trofeo Europe finale on Thursday, 28th October, and Friday, 29th October, at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli in Italy.
Notably, the deal with Leipert also sees the 25-year-old racer from Marford, Wrexham contesting the prestigious ‘World Final’ at Misano over the weekend immediately following the conclusion of the European season, on 30th/31st October.
The annual World Final features the premier drivers and teams from Lamborghini Super Trofeo categories across the globe.
Brought in by Leipert to partner German racer, and namesake, Sebastian Balthasar at the wheel of the No.2 Lamborghini Huracan EVO, Morris’ aim is to hit the ground running next weekend and ultimately go on to mount a challenge for victory in the World Final two months from now.
Morris’ outings in Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe fit alongside his existing commitments with Leipert Motorsport in the 24H Series, where team and driver celebrated a hard-earned podium finish in May at Hockenheim in Germany on the former British GT Champion’s category debut.
“I’m very excited to get back behind the wheel of a Lamborghini”, said Morris, “It’s always a pleasure and an honour to drive for such a prestigious automotive brand and, of course, to race for Leipert who are a fantastic team and never seem to miss a beat. I have my engineer from the 24H Series, Marc, with me and I’ve only heard good things about Sebastian Balthasar.”
