Car makers, suppliers and Government officials in Japan will work together to solve issues arising from the effects of the Far East coronavirus.
Some Chinese suppliers have closed and are struggling to return production hampered by internal blockades, quarantine and labour shortages and the Japanese economy which heavily relies on automotive sector wants to limit damage and ensure it is ready to quickly get back to full production as soon as possible.
Economists say a number of global manufacturers will be affected as the virus issue continues with large parts of Chinese provinces closed to visitors and restricted travel and Nissan warned it is running out of parts. Earlier this week, Jaguar also said it had only two weeks supplies left to build models in the UK and Europe.
