Used car buyers continue to put their faith in dealerships, according to new data from AA Cars, which shows a 40% surge in enquiries to AA Cars dealers at the start of the year.
This news follows the launch of the AA’s Vehicle Inspections for dealers in February, with inspected cars automatically being listed on AA Cars.
In March alone, the used car portal received 97,004 enquiries, the highest recorded to date. In Q1 2016, 278,590 enquiries were made to dealerships listed on the AA Cars portal, marking a significant increase when compared to the same period in 2015.
A number of potential buyers went further in the hunt for their next set of wheels, as the site recorded a 76% surge in ‘directions to dealer’ requests in the first three months of the year compared to Q1 2015.
Year-on-year data from AA Cars showed that up to March 2016, 915,198 people showed purchasing intent, a 33% increase on the previous rolling year.
