As an official supporter of this year’s BBC Children In Need Appeal, promoters of the British MotoGP™ donated £1,786 to the charity.
The figure is based on revenue received from advance ticket sales for the 2017 World Championship British MotoGP™ event – which takes place at Silverstone Circuit over the August Bank Holiday weekend.
Next year’s British MotoGP™ takes place at Silverstone Circuit over the August Bank Holiday weekend, and will feature four British riders – Cal Crutchlow, Sam Lowes, Scott Redding and Bradley Smith – racing in the premier MotoGP™ feature race, in addition to spectacular action from Moto2™ and Moto3™.
August 25-27 will be a full weekend of great activities on and off the race track at Silverstone – with entertainment for all the family in the new-look Grand Prix Village, with live bands on stage, a food festival, funfair, great displays and trade stands from around the world.
The great money-saving Early Bird ticket offer, with a three-day British MotoGP™ adult circuit entry pass costing just £64.50, is still available on-line at Silverstone.co.uk – and look out for a sensational one-day only Black Friday ticket offer on 25 November.
Martin Whitaker, CEO of the Circuit of Wales, promoters of the British MotoGP™, said, “As a big family event, the World Championship British MotoGP is extremely proud to be supporting this year’s BBC Children In Need Appeal.
“We’ve all grown up with the charity and over the last thirty-five years it’s become a British institution and something we are all very proud and supportive of.
“Whilst the British MotoGP fans are, and always will be, the most important aspect of everything we do, our support of this year’s BBC Children In Need Appeal is just one of the many new initiatives that we have planned to branch out and engage with a much wider audience.”
