Another 6,500 British automotive jobs in two car plants are on the line if the UK leaves the EU without a trade deal. Mini workers 4,500 jobs will be be diluted in Oxford and Ford Dagenham may shift diesel engine production to Europe if no deal is done. Honda to close Swindon factory?
Honda will close its Swindon car plant by 2022, says Sky News. It established its only European factory in Wiltshire in 1985 without any UK Government aid, employs 3,500 people and makes about 100,000 Civics annually for the UK and export.
