Straightliners European and World sand & land speed event on Pendine last weekend saw some unique classic and some of the most powerful street legal motorbikes in the UK in action.
Highlights of the two-day sprint event which was affected by wind and rain were:
- Kevin Nicks, returned with the Fastest Shed aiming to break his world record of 101mph which he did just, achieving 101.581mph
- The top man of the weekend Terry Smith who did 190.551mph on a Suzuki Hayabusa 1587cc over a mile
- Also Zef Eisenberg, Ultra speed rider and founder of sports nutrition brand Maximuscle was on his 350hp supercharged MADMAX motorbike.
- George Maclean & Honda kart achieved a staggering 119.922mph for such a small vehicle.
