Carsofthefuture.co.uk has been named a Zenzic CAM Creator in recognition of its work providing news and views about driverless vehicles in the UK.
Bringing together government, industry and academia, Zenzic is tasked with establishing the UK as a world leader in self-driving. Its newly updated UK Connected and Automated Mobility Roadmap to 2030 tracks progress against core deliverables including regulation, safety, public understanding and high-value jobs.
Carsofthefuture.co.uk founder, Neil Kennett, said, “We are delighted to have been recognised as a Zenzic CAM Creator alongside some very big names in the self-driving sector. Our mission is to chart the development of, and encourage debate about, all aspects of driverless cars. As such, we will make a valuable contribution to the Society and People part of the Roadmap, particularly around public perception and evolving attitudes.
“Driverless cars capture the imagination but it is vital that the public understands where we are with the technology and what it can and can’t do. Let’s be clear, driverless cars don’t yet exist, but they are coming. Will your kids need to learn to drive? What should happen in a no-win crash situation? If you’re interested in these questions please sign up to our newsletter, follow us on social and get involved.”
Daniel Ruiz, Zenzic CEO, added, “The contribution of CAM Creators like Carsofthefuture.co.uk is the foundation of the UK Connected and Automated Mobility Roadmap to 2030: CAM Creators Update.
“The UK is currently amongst the global leaders in the development of self-driving vehicles and services thanks to the continued collaboration across sectors towards a common goal of being able to benefit from CAM on our streets by the end of the next decade.”
