The Ford Fiesta is favourite in Wales.
Leasing Options, a vehicle leasing company, analysed Google Trends data to discover the country’s favourite car and the little Ford came out first.
The research reveals that Ford is the nation’s favourite car make, with the most popular models being the Ford Fiesta, Ford Focus and Ford Transit respectively.
Whilst the classic models are a clear favourite, the Ford Edge received the highest increase in search queries, showing great interest in the newest car to join the Ford group.
Mike Thompson, Brand Manager at Leasing Options, said, “When it comes to purchasing a new car many people spend a lot of time researching makes and models on Google. That is why it is fascinating to analyse Google Trends, to see which cars people are most interested in.
“It is surprising to see that just one of the most popular car models was an SUV, the Nissan Qashqai, and none were a 4×4 or an estate. Instead the hatchback is the most popular model in Wales- does this mean it is time to say goodbye to the Chelsea tractor?”
