Cardiff driving fines quadruple
Drivers in Cardiff have seen a quadrupling in council penalty charge notices as the city collected £2.4M in fines in the last available figures. Cardiff alone, nearly four times as many penalty charge notices (PCNs) were issued in 2018/19 compared to 2016/17 (74,142 compared to 19,080) translating to a £1.8m hike in revenue (£593,160 to £2.4m – 313%).
