A £1.229 billion City Deal for the Cardiff Capital Region has been agreed.
The investment is expected to deliver up to 25,000 new jobs and leverage an additional £4 billion of private sector investment across the region boosting economic growth through public transport improvements including an extensive metro rail and bus service but also include measures such as tolling and road charging in Cardiff to discourage cars and force users onto public transport.
