Desirable historic motorsport models are set to get pulses racing when they go under the hammer with H&H Classics at its upcoming Millbrook Sale.
The auction takes place on Wednesday 3 December at the historic Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedfordshire, the second time it has hosted an H&H Classics auction this year.
One of the stand out and oldest motorsport lots being offered is an extremely rare 1935 Singer Nine TT Team Car (above), one of just four special cars built that year to participate in international competition.
The Singer with an ‘AVC’ number plate, is estimated at £60,000-£80,000 and was a competitor in the 1935, 1937, 1938 and 1939 Le Mans 24-hours races.
It is an important piece of the UK’s motorsport heritage and has been in single family ownership for more than 30 years.
Meanwhile, a trio of motorsport cars, and one rally car, from the 1960s are also set to be auctioned.
Not least is a ready to race 1965-Type Lola T70 MkII Spyder, subject to a comprehensive restoration completed this year and given a guide price of £170,000-£210,000.
Stunning to look at, it is fitted with a Chevrolet ‘small block’ engine, while being eligible for some of the world’s most iconic historic motor racing events, plus it has a valid FIA HTP until 2036.
James McWilliam, sales manager at H&H Classics, said, “It’s a pleasure for H&H Classics to auction some truly outstanding historic race cars, including a notable entry from this country’s motorsport past, at our Millbrook Sale.”
