Greenfleet is bringing back the EV Rally Cymru for 2025—an electrifying two-day event designed to highlight Wales’ progress in clean transport and infrastructure.
Following the success of previous rallies, EV Rally Cymru 2025 on 22 and 23 October will once again take drivers on a scenic and strategic journey across Wales, starting in Wrexham and passing through Corwen, Anglesey, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Aberystwyth on Day 1.
Day 2 sees the rally head to Trecwn, Pembrokeshire, Pendine Sands and the Brecon Beacons before concluding at the Newport International Sports Village.
Along the way, participants will stop at Official Checkpoints, including innovation projects, charging hubs and clean energy projects, capturing and sharing their journey through coordinated social media campaigns that have previously reached over 1.5 million LinkedIn connections.
Transport for Wales continues to power this initiative, showcasing their commitment to a greener future. With 17 rapid charging locations deployed on the Strategic Road Network, 19 new fast chargers installed at 10 railway stations and plans to expand to approximately 50 more locations, the rally serves as a real-world demonstration of Wales’ growing EV infrastructure and its readiness to support the transition to electric mobility.
“Sponsoring EV Rally Cymru is a natural fit for Transport for Wales as we continue to lead the shift towards a net-zero, integrated and multi-modal transport network,” says Tony Clayton at TfW.
“The Rally is not only a showcase of cutting-edge electric vehicles, but also a symbol of what’s possible when innovation, collaboration, and climate ambition come together. We’re proud to support an event that empowers Welsh businesses and local authorities to explore real-world, zero-emission transport, and one that highlights TfW’s role in supporting the rollout of publicly available EV charging infrastructure across Wales.”
