A radical overhaul of the Paris Motor show is underway.
Organisers of the 2020 show have engaged an outside events management company to transform the event from the traditional concept and to “reinvent itself”.
The main challenge will be to increase brand audiences by offering a completely redesigned, interactive and personalised visitor experience, said a spokesman for events company Hopscotch, which has worked with major brands in fashion, music and the arts.
The unveiling of the 2020 edition of the redesigned Paris Mondial Motor Show will take place during a press conference to be held before the summer.
The last event in 2018 was hit by a number of motor manufacturers not displaying their latest models but deciding instead to focus on other methods and channels of engagement with prospective buyers, citing the very high cost of supporting a ten-day show with huge stands and hundreds of staff over that time, so they will be looking for a massive reduction in costs before supporting the event at time of tough financial constraints and challenges.
