Engines from Ford Bridgend plant will power the UK’s newest single-seater formula for future grand prix stars.
The all-new MSA Formula single-seat race car, powered by Ford’s 1.6-litre EcoBoost engine, heralds a new chapter this weekend in Ford’s association with junior category racing.
The single-seat race car will compete in FIA-accredited Formula 4 championships in Britain, Australia and Spain with other nations joining in 2016. The successor to the highly acclaimed Ford-backed Formula Ford Championship and known in the UK as MSA Formula, the inaugural season will rev into life at the Brands Hatch motor-racing circuit on April 4 – offering young drivers the opportunity to at over 10 meetings and 30 rounds.
