The first electrified Jeep will reach UK showrooms this autumn.
The new Jeep Renegade 4xe is packed with technology both in its sophisticated 4×4 powertrain using two electric motors as well as connectivity for users. It can be recharged from mains or left to do so by the engine during normal use.
Renegade 4xe can be driven on 100% electric thanks to a 11.4 kWh battery paired with a 60hp electric motor, to ensure a range of 26 miles with zero tailpipe emissions in full-electric mode and its system adds as a backup to its internal combustion engine.
With two electric motors featuring Powerloop, all-wheel drive is always available to tackle extended off-road adventures as you’d expect of a Jeep.
Renegade 4xe hits 124mph, returns 123-134mpg and emits less than 50g/km of CO2 in hybrid mode in a choice of three trim levels, six-speed automatic transmission and 190 or 240hp 1.3-litre petrol engines depending on trim level. 0-62mph takes 7.5secs and maximum is 81mph in pure electric mode but top speed rises to 124mph as petrol with hybrid assistance.
The Renegade 4xe will be in showrooms in September from £32,600 to £36,500.
