We know there is still much to improve and remain focused on improving rail performance, Transport for Wales has stated following criticism of its services.
Its statement came after the operator was shown to have one of the worst reliability records in Britain with cancellations well above the British average and an MS suggested Cardiff Council should introduce a ‘commuter tax’ to encourage more people onto rail service.
A Transport for Wales statement this week said, “TfW is investing £800 million in brand-new trains across the Wales and Borders network and overall this is improving the customer experience and resilience on the network.
