UK petrol and diesel stations are facing extinction by 2038, according to national EV charging network Be.EV. Fuel prices fall could be greater, says RAC
The average price of petrol across the UK reduced by 6p a litre in December to under 147p (146.69p), making for two consecutive monthly falls, shows data from RAC Fuel Watch. Surcharges of £120 for 5.0 litres of fuel
Supermarket giant Tesco faced scrutiny when a customer discovered they’d been charged £120 after filling up at a petrol station in Manchester. While December saw the average price of fuel fall by 9p a litre saving drivers £5 a tank, the RAC believes drivers should have seen much bigger drops due to far lower wholesale costs.
