Transport for Wales has reintroduced hourly rail services between Chester and Liverpool via Runcorn, Helsby and Frodsham from today. Passenger numbers falling at Cardiff-Wales Airport
Welsh Government data released today shows that passenger numbers at Cardiff Airport have fallen despite the easing of restrictions. In 2021, passenger numbers decreased by 44% compared with 2020 to 123,000. Furthermore, the number of domestic passengers fell by over 50% from 32,000 to 15,000 and the number of international passengers fell by 80,000.
