Welsh driver Seb Morris had a disappointing end to his Easter campaign behind the wheel of the Team Parker Racing Bentley Continental GT3 at Oulton Park.
He experienced a mixed opening event of the new British GT Championship season with a best finish of fourth place the headline result after two dramatic one-hour races at the Cheshire venue.
Beginning the race meeting with a record-breaking performance in qualifying on Saturday, 15th April, the ‘Pro’ driver from Marford set the fastest ever lap for a GT3 car around Oulton’s 2.7-mile International Circuit to secure a memorable pole position for round two. Earlier, team-mate Rick Parfitt Jnr had claimed the grid-topping slot for round one with a terrific effort in the ‘Am’ session.
Unfortunately, neither of the one-hour races on Easter Monday, 17th April, worked in their favour and the Team Parker Racing duo had to settle for fourth place in the rain-affected opening encounter, a mere 0.6 seconds shy of the podium, and fifth in race two.
Concluding the championship curtain-raiser fourth in the overall standings and fourth in the Pro-Am battle, the duo will head to Rockingham in Northamptonshire two weeks
