The Mercedes-Benz Citan ranks as the most fuel-efficient van across all fuel types, according to analysis by Wales-based insurer Confused.com.
Driving 831 miles on a full tank, the Citan diesel model can drive 123 miles further than the second place van, the Volkswagen Transporter with 708 miles.
Costing £15,380 the Mercedes-Benz Citan also tops the list for most fuel-efficient petrol van with a range of 611 miles on a full tank. At the other end of the scale, is the Fiat Fiorino, drivers can expect to fork out more as you’ll only get 423 miles in this van.
For drivers who are thinking about going green, take a look at the Iveco Daily Electric. This van can drive 174 miles on a full charge, which is more than double of the least fuel-efficient electric van, the Citroen Berlingo Electric with a measly 68 miles.
