Insurance is meant to provide peace of mind and vital support for people during what can be some of the worst times of their lives.
But consumer champions Which? found that far too often insurers are piling misery onto their own customers.
Our latest research revealed that nearly two thirds of people with valid complaints last year suffered distress and inconvenience due to their insurance company’s behaviour.
On top of this, insurance premiums are skyrocketing, with monthly costs getting out of control for many who can’t afford to pay for a year upfront.
A Which? statement said, “If you’ve had a bad experience with car, home, pet or travel insurance we’d like to hear about it. We want to see an end to the insurance rip-off and your story could help identify the worst offenders.”
