If you have suggestions to improve traffic flow alaong the M4 around Newport, the South East Wales Transport Commission want to hear from you.
It has launched ‘Have your Say’ – an online survey to gather ideas and suggestions for tackling congestion on the M4 and improving transport across the region now that a southern relief road around the city has been deleted from planning.
The Commission was established by Welsh Ministers last year to consider ways to tackle congestion on the M4 and surrounding roads. The Commission has been asked to look at alternatives to the relief road. It will put forward a broad package of recommendations that include road, bus, rail and active travel.
Lord Burns, Chair of the South East Wales Commission said, “The issues affecting transport across South East Wales are acute and complex. Significant improvements are required across many locations and many modes of travel.
“We would like to ensure that the recommendations we set out reflect the needs and opinions of those who live, work and regularly travel within the region. It is therefore very important to make sure that as many people as possible complete the survey”.
The short and simple survey is available online until the end of March 2020 at https://HaveYourSaySEWT.commonplace.is
