Welsh rallying’s ascending star Elfyn Evans put in possibly the best drive of his life to snatch 2nd place on the Finland WRC round at the weekend.
The DMack Ford Fiesta driver finished 0.3 seconds infront of the third placed Juho Hanninen and split the Toyota Yaris team-mate of Esapekka Lappi, who was arguably the local star winning in his home country.
The Finland round is the fastest of the WRC series and includes so many crests that about 30% of the total stage distance is covered in the air by the cars and it’s known as the Finnish Grand Prix among competitors and spectators.
