Today, on International Men’s Day, Ben is launching its new ‘Men’s Health Awareness’ training, providing employees across the automotive industry with a better understanding of the health challenges that affect men’s physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing.
In the UK, one in five men die before reaching 65 and, with over 82% of the automotive workforce made up of men, Ben is shining a light on men’s health to help start supportive conversations.
This training has been created to increase awareness about men’s health and wellbeing across the industry. The course is suitable for anyone who works in the automotive industry, including people managers and all genders.
Course benefits include:
- Insights into health challenges and risks related to men’s health and wellbeing
- Strategies to build resilience, skills and confidence to support with better managing men’s health
- A clear understanding of personal wellbeing
- Knowledge to recognise, support and empower men’s health, at work and beyond
- How to support others and hold supportive conversations around men’s health
- A toolkit packed full of useful resources.
The training is offered face-to-face or virtually, providing a flexible and engaging learning environment.
This course is part of a suite of three new training products being launched by Ben, including the recent Equality, Diversity & Inclusion course and a new Women’s Health Awareness course which will launch in the New Year.
Any profits generated from BenTraining bookings go back into Ben’s mission of providing free, confidential health and wellbeing support for life to those who work, or have worked, in the automotive industry and their families.
Over 99% of Ben’s recent survey respondents were personally affected by a health & wellbeing issue and as demand for Ben’s support is growing, now is the ideal time for automotive employers to invest in supporting their employees.
