The British Cross Country Championship visits Radnor Forest this weekend with championship debutant Ben Duckworth looking to build on his opening round victory.
Following a tense weekend long battle he beat defending champion Mike Moran on the opening round at Pike’s Peak by just two seconds.
Third place went to Neil Davey as he returned to Britain’s premier off-road series following a five year absence.
The championship’s new technical partners, RAVENOL, will be on hand throughout the weekend to offer advice on their range of hi-tech lubricants, while the event will also feature the second round of the Britpart Freelander Challenge.
The 2014 champion Ian Linford claimed victory on this year’s series opener ahead of Andy Price, while Craig Bounds took third place in the Freelander that carried New Zealander Nick Lines to the title in 2013.
Competitors will tackle a number of runs over a challenging six mile course during the course of the weekend with the action getting underway at 10 am on Saturday. With camping facilities available, the prize-giving is scheduled for 3pm on Sunday.
Access to the venue will be signposted off the A488 around two miles west of Monaughty. You can find out more about the Britpart British Cross Country Championship at www.marches4x4.com and about the RAVENOL range of products at www.ravenol.co.uk.
