Cardiff-based Adam Jones was among the successful trainees whose achievements were celebrated at Mercedes-Benz Trucks’ first sales trainee graduation ceremony.
The 27-year-old, who works for South Wales Dealer Euro Commercials, has successfully completed the 25-week Mercedes-Benz and FUSO Trucks Sales Trainee Programme.
This combines formal instruction at the Mercedes-Benz Training & Development Centre in Milton Keynes, with ‘on the job’ learning at Dealerships. At the end of the course candidates must pass an independent assessment to secure their Truck Sales Professional qualifications.
Adam, who lives in Bridgend, sold label applicators and wide format printers before taking up his new role. “I was looking for a position that offered better prospects and would allow me to grow,” he recalled.
“When I saw the Mercedes-Benz advertisement it was the promise of full training that really appealed and I certainly haven’t been disappointed – the programme was very motivational from the outset, and has given me a thorough grounding.”
He added: “This is much more than just another job. I have a fantastic opportunity to build a fulfilling career with a highly respected Dealer that represents one of the world’s best-known brands, and I’m determined to make the most of it.”
Euro Commercials sells and supports the award-winning Mercedes-Benz truck range, as well as FUSO Canter light trucks, from headquarters in Cardiff, and other branches in Swansea and Newport.
Truck Sales Manager Gary Clark said: “Adam has worked extremely hard and this recognition is well deserved. He has made a great start to his career with Euro Commercials and Mercedes-Benz Trucks, and has a very bright future ahead of him.”
