From this week, people with mobility needs will be able to access a Lexus vehicle through the UK’s Motability Scheme.
The company is making its entry into the nationwide leasing programme with the new UX 250h F Sport Design, a recently launched version of its self-charging hybrid electric compact SUV that matches highly efficient performance with an extra dash of sporting style. Lexus aims to make further models available in the future.
The scheme enables people who receive a mobility allowance to use that money to help pay for the lease of a brand new vehicle and a deposit varies from about £2,700 to £4,000.
After making an initial advance payment, a monthly sum is paid covering all aspects of vehicle use except for fuel. Insurance, servicing, maintenance, wear-and-tear repairs, breakdown cover, windscreen repairs and tyre repair and replacement are all covered by the three-year leasing agreement.
