Stellantis UK has signed the Armed Forces Covenant committing to support those and their families who have served the nation.
In line with this commitment, the Group is already working with the Career Transition Partnership (CTP) to provide access to nationwide job vacancies, and providing training opportunities for service leavers, veterans and their families enabling them to forge rewarding new career paths in the automotive industry.
The commitment is made in support of the ‘Mission Automotive’ initiative – launched in 2019 by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders in partnership with the Ministry of Defence and the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Working with service charity Mission Motorsport, Stellantis UK will work closely with a dedicated Armed Forces Engagement Manager, Pa Njie, himself a former solider, double amputee and Invictus Games medallist.
Njie said, “It is an honour to support my fellow Veterans, Service Leavers and their families to start a new journey in the automotive industry. The training courses and job opportunities offered by Stellantis are vital for former military personnel going forward with their lives in the civilian world and I’m grateful to be part of such a project”. The training courses will be delivered across a variety of channels, with both online and in-person teaching available, and course attendees will also gain access to Stellantis’ e-Learning platform. | Serving and former members of the Armed Forces, as well as their family members, have the opportunity to receive training across a variety of sectors, including;
