A rare Red Warning for intense strong winds has been issued by the Met Office for Southern and Western Coastlines and parts of the North Wales coast and hills.
Severe disruption is likely to roads, rail, sea and air services and bridges are likely to be closed over the Cleddau and Severn rivers overnight today and into Saturday morning. It is possible the M4 Briton Ferry Bridge will be shut as in previous incidents of high wind.
Safety advice is to only travel if absolutely necessary and try to complete your trip before Storm Darragh arrives and if you cannot avoid a journey during the storm then plan ahead and expect delays and diversions.
Parts of Wales are still recovering from Storms Bert and Connell and areas hit by them may be in for another soaking and windy blast.
