Euro Quality Coatings of Cardiff has secured a number of new automotive contracts for both niche and volume manufacturers.
The contracts are worth in excess of £5m over the next 7-10 years and will see EQC E Coat and Powder Coat a wide range of parts for Bentley (above), Daimler, Jaguar Land Rover, Aston Martin Lagonda, and McLaren.
Sales Manager David Morgan said, “The contracts are huge wins for both me personally and for Euro Quality Coatings.
“They will see us provide high volumes of parts for the 2019 Land Rover Defender, Range Rover Evoque, Range Rover Sport, The Aston Martin DB11, a wide range of Daimler Benz Vehicles, The Bentley Bentayga, McLaren Coupe & Spider. This is new work to complement our existing E Coat work that we currently do for these and many other Automotive OEM.”
Whilst some of this work has been secured in partnership with Welsh Based Automotive Precision Engineering Companies, much of it has been secured from within the traditional Midlands Heartland of the UK Automotive Industry.
He added that the new work is testament to how it differentiates from competitors by listening to customers and working with them to provide a level of service, attention to detail and support that are second to none within industry.
“I am obviously hopeful that with Aston building the DBX at St Athan and planning to also make the Lagonda and Rapide E at the site too, that we are able to build on this success and our Tier 1 Supplier Status with AML by having a favourable geographic location compared to our opposition, and by offering a weekly delivery service into St Athan as part of our sales package, he said.”
EQC are Wales largest trade Powder Coater, and currently own the only Sub Contract Electrophoretic Coating Plant in Wales. We have a Tier 1 Supplier Status with both Aston Martin Lagonda & Lotus Cars, as well as a Tier 2 Supply into many other Niche & Volume OEM’s. We also fully support PPAP and IMDS, as well as running to a 0ppm target for all our customers using our on-site Chemical Stripping Facility for reject recovery.
