With the UK expecting severe weather later this week, BCA, Europe’s leading used car marketplace, is preparing itself for a rise in demand for 4x4s.
As Stuart Pearson, Managing Director, BCA UK Remarketing explained, there was a steady interest in 4x4s throughout 2016, but the sudden drop in temperatures, with icy and even snowy conditions forecast across the country, is likely to mean that demand for these vehicles will increase sharply this month and that could mean prices rising.
The bad weather warning means drivers must heed advice for later this week, say the RAC.
Changeable conditions are expected with a gradual chilling leading to more snow and icy as well as strong winds.
With some public transport services cut or affected by industrial disputes more traffic is expected on roads leading to longer journey times as well as more disruption from adverse weather.
Advice is to check your planned route in advance, prepare your car and yourself and expect delays and possible diversions, and don’t go if you don’t feel comfortable with copying in snow and ice.
