Fuel prices soaring again says RAC Fuel Watch
The price of petrol rocketed by 6.68p a litre in August while diesel shot up by 8p, making for the fifth and sixth biggest monthly rises in 23 years, said RAC Fuel Watch. Fuel prices have jumped again, said the RAC. The average price of petrol rose in July making for the second consecutive monthly increase while diesel remained stable, data from RAC Fuel Watch reveals. Diesel drivers were April fooled on forecourts
The price of diesel fell by nearly 4p a litre in April but still remains at least 16p more expensive than it should be as it’s now 6p cheaper than petrol on the wholesale market, according to data from RAC Fuel Watch. Fuel prices still a rip-off for motorists
While December saw the average price of fuel fall by 9p a litre saving drivers £5 a tank, the RAC believes drivers should have seen much bigger drops due to far lower wholesale costs.
