Adding more variety to its successful in-car audio range, Sony introduced the new XAV-AX3005DB car audio receiver , incorporating a big 6.95” Clear Responsive Touchscreen.
AX3005DB (right) enables smarter driving and aids navigation, communication and playing music from your phone with voice control. All this is possible through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto which makes it easier than ever to use a smartphone on the road.
Apple CarPlay is a smarter, safer way to use iPhone in the car. CarPlay seamlessly integrates iPhones with the car audio’s display and controls. Now you can make phone calls, access your music, send and receive messages, get directions optimized for traffic, and more while you stay focused on the road.
Android Auto is a simpler way to use your phone in the car. It was designed with safety and convenience in mind. With your Google Assistant on Android Auto, you can stay focused, connected, and entertained, keeping your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel, while using your voice to help with your day.
With a built-in DAB/DAB+ tuner it will make sure you are ready for broadcast changes ahead too.
In addition to 4x55W high power output, this AV receiver will have you singing away and enjoying the EXTRA BASS circuitry which overcomes engine noise and reproduces clear punch sound at any volume level. You can also benefit from the sound optimization as the DSO (Dynamic Stage Organizer) creates a more vivid sound as if there were speakers in front of you.
The receiver is also FLAC audio file compatible via the USB terminal meaning it plays back compressed audio without any loss in quality. It is also forward thinking as for future expandability: the 3-pre out connectivity can build a full acoustic system including external amplifiers, subwoofers and more for even louder and powerful sound reproduction.
The rear chassis is designed with single-DIN dimensions that gives enough room for a neat finish. The new quick wake up design boasts fast activation so the system is ready for the road as soon as it is turned on, with no need for hanging around for your directions to start or radio to play. The ergonomic key terminal is designed with drivers in mind as it minimizes distractions when you are behind the wheel.
With the use of a rear view camera relating to the reverse gear, you can be worry-free when parking as this is particularly useful for those tight and testing parking spaces.
For those who are not in need of Android Auto, Sony is offering the XAV-AX1000 with 6.2” Clear Responsive Touchscreen and Apple CarPlay, together with the rest of unique to Sony features such as 55W x4 power output, EXTRA BASS, DSO and quick wake up design, providing excellent sound quality and upgraded usability.
The XAV-AX3005DB model will be priced at approximately £400 and will be available from September 2018, and XAV-AX1000 model will be approximately £270.
