The Championship will kick off once again with the Cambrian Rally before the return, following a one year absence, of the Grooms Garage Mid Wales Stages.
Rally North Wales is round 3 of the Championship while Midland Manor Motor Club’s Rallynuts Stages Rally moves from its traditional June date to Mid-April for 2018.
Next up is the Plains Rally before the New Red Kite Stages make their Championship debut. The Amman and District MC run event will relocate next year to the classic but underutilised forest stages of South Wales.
The Nicky Grist Stages revert to their popular one day format while the penultimate round of the season will see the Championship cross the border to Ludlow for the Eventsigns Woodpecker Stages Rally.
As this year, the season will be rounded off with the Wyedean Stages, the only opportunity of the year for crews to experience the stages in the Forest of Dean.
Unveiling the calendar, Championship organiser Dave Evison said, “I know that all our Championship contenders will be delighted to see the Mid Wales Stages back in, while the revamped Red Kite will give them the chance to tackle a great new set of stages.” He added, “Competing on the Championship will take crews to many of the finest forest stages in the UK. All the forest stages belonging to Natural Resources Wales will have been prepared by Rally4Wales so I am confident that competitors will find the roads in prime condition.”
