Recently-formed charity, Airfields of Britain Conservation Trust, was set up to help recognise the invaluable importance airfields have played in the past by erecting memorial marker stones at various key sites around the country.
And it’s the turn of Castle Combe Circuit to receive one of these prestigious markers in 2018, which is set to be unveiled at the venue’s Autumn Classic race meeting on 6 October, exactly 70 years after decommissioning by the War Office.
