Over 20 young people will “graduate” from the latest Ford Saturday Club on thursday evening.
The scheme managed by Control2K at Waterton centre, Bridgend gives young people in South Wales the opportunity to learn basic skills in practical core subjects.
They spend over three months learning about mechanical, electrical and computer controlled technology on Saturday mornings.
It has been backed by Welsh Government and Ford for a number of years and its operation has been guaranteed for the rest of this year.
Thursday’s students include the highest ever percentage of girls to undertake the course in its 15 years history.
