Over use of an air fresher in a car is believed to be behind an explosion which destroyed a car but from which the driver escaped in North Wales last week. A quarter of drivers admitted to having a bump, scrape or accident in their first car, according to new research which surveyed more than 4,500 young drivers. Welsh drivers are keeping their cars for longer than the UK average. Scrappage figures just released show 928 vehicles were crushed in Wales, just 1.7% of the total last year.
